Past achievements include the training of over 5,000 individuals from local and international NGOs in Cambodia. SILAKA provides tailored training and consulting services to provincial rural development committees, three Health districts, one Health Promotion Department, three provincial women departments, Multi ministerial agency, Ministry of Women Affairs. SILAKA developed specialized training for larger national-based projects such as CARERE of the UNDP, the World Food Program, the International Labor Organization and the EU-PRASAC. Currently SILAKA is providing financial skills training to provincial NGOs so they can be equipped to provide training to 60 commune counselors in 4 provinces, Training of 8 three days sessions in Basic research, leadership, management and project planning and implementation for the members of the Provincial Rural Development Committee in Oddar Meanchey, Training of project management staff in 4 provinces in the Ministry of Water Management, and manage UNIFEM Gender and MDGs project to build capacity, media campaign and advocacy to mainstream gender in national planning and monitoring the a achievement of national indicators.

Rapid Survey in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Women’s Affair on the subject of Salt farms in Kampot and Kep for Coastal Zone Management (CZM) Program of Cambodia in 1999.
Partner with ILO in developing a government multi sectoral management plan on prevention, intervention, integration on the district level to the provincial level on child trafficking in Prey Veng and Sihanoukville provinces in 2001 to present.
Training Assessment and Program Development for Rice Millers in Kandal, Takeo, Prey Veng, and Svay Rieng in June 2003.
Design and provide training of 40 trainers for The Development of Management Capacity Building for the World Food Program from 2001- 2003.

Specialized Training Need Assessment and Training:

Assessment and workshop development training in project design and monitoring for Mine Action Group (MAG) in 1999.
Training Need Assessment for PRDC, and training in Battambang for CARERE and training in Pursat, Rattanakiri, and Banteay Mean Chey PRDC/CARERE in 1998-2000.
Partner with the Ministry of Water Management and Meteorology with the support from INWENT in Germany to conduct and facilitate management training and plan on Government Irrigation Projects to the local water users communities in 2002.
Design and provide training of managers of PRASAC’s government’s partners in 6 provinces. Training to selection of management staff from the Office of the Governor, and Provincial Departments of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Water Resource Management in 2001-2002.

In 2007 –current, the program cover Takeo, Prey Veng, Takeo, Svay Rieng and Kandal. The program is a partnership with PACT funded by USAID.
2006-current: Training of managers and community leaders of Takeo province Health Operational District in a variety of subjects in leadership, management, communications, and community participation.

Institutional Assessment, Planning and supports:

Provide institutional assessment and management support to strengthen the National AIDs Authority (NAA) in 2002.
Facilitate the development of 4 years organizational and program strategic plan for Mlup Baitong organization for 2000 and 2003.
Partners with the CCSP to facilitate operational planning for 2004 for the Cambodian Senate and the Cambodian National Assembly.
Develop offices TORs and job description for central office of the Ministry of Women Affairs in 2004-2005.

Develop training materials and curriculum to contextualize Convention to Eliminate all forms of Discrimination Against Women, CEDAW, to Cambodia context in 2007.
Partnered with PACT and VBNK to provide capacity development training and coaching to provincial NGOs in supporting their activities to commune counselors in 4 provinces: Kandal, Takeo, Prey Veng, and Svay Rieng. This partnership took place from Jan. 2006-March 2008.
Partnered with Participatory Research Institute in Asia, India, Ateneo School of Government, Philippines, and the World Bank to develop capacity for civil society actors in social accountability through the Project to Enhance Capacity Social Accountability, PECSA for 2008 to 2009.

In 1999, SILAKA developed an ANGOC supported local capacity assessment report on local NGOs. In addition, SILAKA coordinated the Forum for Peace through Love and Compassion advocating for non violent and peaceful coexistence among all factions. From May to September 1999, SILAKA coordinated a campaign for a peaceful election nationwide during last year national election, involving over 70 organizations nationwide and started a peace network in 15 provinces. In 2001, SILAKA cooperate with the German Development agency, DED, in the development of the Metathor-Conflict Transformation Program (CTP) to build local capacity in conflict transformation in 32 villages in Kampong Thom and Svay Rieng, Cambodia. SILAKA also network with the regional grouping, SEACA, working for indigenous group capacity on advocacy. Moreover, SILAKA facilitated 15 local organizations to co host a regional festival parallel to the ASEAN Summit in Phnom Penh. Currently, SILAKA partners with UNIFEM and UNDP in providing advocacy and training program on Gender and MDG with major institutions in Cambodia. SILAKA also facilitated A successful 7 days learning groups on basic management and Robert Rules of Order to 140 youth and women political activists from the main political parties in Siemreap.
